Dr Lipton began his career as a cell biologist graduating from the University of Virgina, before joining the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine in 1973. 4. Align Belief with Reality

Understand that your mind’s function is to create coherence between your beliefs and your reality; therefore, cultivate beliefs that align with the reality you wish to experience.

5. Define Your Desires

Stop passively accepting your circumstances and actively define what you truly want in life, as having a clear vision is essential for your mind to manifest it.

6. Write Down Your Desires

Physically write down a clear list of what you want in life, as this provides your mind with the necessary vision to manifest those desires.

7. Stay Present and Mindful

To avoid running subconscious programs, practice staying present and mindful, as this allows your conscious, creative mind (wishes and desires) to control your life.

8. Create from Conscious Mind

When you stop thinking and stay present, you create your life from your conscious mind, manifesting your wishes and desires, similar to the ‘honeymoon effect’.

9. Rewrite Subconscious via Repetition

Change subconscious programs by consistently repeating desired behaviors and practices, similar to how habits like driving or playing an instrument are learned through repetition.

10. Practice Intentional Behaviors

Consistently repeat intentional behaviors with enough practice until they transition from conscious effort to unconscious habits, thereby installing new programs in your subconscious.

11. Set Daily Intentions

Each morning, ask yourself what quality you want to showcase to the world (e.g., patience, compassion) to intentionally guide your behavior throughout the day.

12. Start Day with Joy/Gratitude

Begin each day with joy and gratitude for being alive, as this positive initial thought can program the rest of your day for positive experiences and provide energy.

13. Practice Positive Resonance

Understand that your beliefs and thoughts create a resonant frequency; putting out positive beliefs will attract positive experiences, while negative beliefs will attract negative ones.

14. Beware Negative Thinking

Understand that negative thinking is as powerful as positive thinking in shaping your reality, but in a detrimental way, and be mindful of its prevalence in your daily thoughts.

15. Cultivate Self-Love

Develop genuine self-love and appreciation, as this foundational belief naturally leads to behaviors that nourish your body, mind, and soul, and improves how you treat others.

16. Identify Limiting Programs

Observe areas where you work hard but struggle to achieve desired outcomes; these indicate underlying subconscious programs that do not support your conscious desires.

17. Control Your Response

Focus on controlling your response to external circumstances, as this is the only thing you can truly manage, rather than trying to control the circumstances themselves.

18. Manage Your Energy Input

Be intentional about what you consume (e.g., news, social media) by asking what return you get for the energy you invest, avoiding inputs that drain your energy without positive benefit.

19. Be the Change You Want

By intentionally choosing positive inputs and maintaining a positive mindset, you contribute to a better world and inspire others, aligning with the idea of ‘being the change you want to see’.

20. Trust Your Intuition/Gut

Learn to trust your gut feelings and intuition, as these are natural ways to read energy and determine if a situation or environment is beneficial or detrimental to you.

21. Align Environment with Energy

Arrange your living space (furniture, decor) to create an energy field that feels good and supports your current desired energy, and consider changing your environment when undergoing radical life changes.

22. Challenge Aging Beliefs

Reject the belief that age limits your capabilities; instead, adopt a belief system that emphasizes engagement, contribution, and continuous living, as your beliefs shape your physical reality.

23. ‘Use It or Lose It’ Principle

Apply the ‘use it or lose it’ principle to all aspects of your biology, including your brain and muscles, by actively engaging and challenging yourself to maintain function.

24. Harness Placebo Effect

Recognize the power of your belief in healing, as demonstrated by the placebo effect, where belief in a treatment (even a sugar pill) can manifest physical improvement.

25. Genes Are Not Destiny

Reject the belief that genes dictate your health destiny; instead, recognize that you are the creator of your genetic activity and can influence it through your lifestyle and consciousness.

26. Question External ‘Truths’

Be cautious about uncritically accepting ’truths’ from external authorities (e.g., doctors’ prognoses), especially when they are disempowering, as your belief in them can manifest as reality.
